What can I do?

My services can be separated into 3 separate categories. Printing an existing cad file, creating or modifying an existing part, or designing and printing a part from scratch. Each process is different and will be explained in more detail below.

Printing an existing file

This is the simplest of the services I offer. All I need is a file and a color and I’ll have the parts on there way to you as soon as possible.

Creating or modifying

This is a more in depth service that can be split into two major parts Creating/recreating and modifying.

Creating and recreating are kind of two sides of the same coin. Creating a part involves designing it in CAD using an engineering drawing or similar method. For example, if you have a design drawn out that you want drawn up in CAD and printed whether it be for prototyping or a usable part that’s what I call creating. Recreating is slightly different, this would be drawing a design in CAD based off an existing part. This can follow a similar method as creating if the part has documentation and engineering drawings, or I can measure the part itself and draw it up that way instead.

Modifying can take a couple different forms the first being recreating the part and then modifying it from there. For example if you had a pencil holder but it’s too short and things fall out of it to easily. I could recreate the pencil holder and then make it taller. The second comes into play if the part is already designed in CAD and you have the file. In that case I can simply import the file and make whatever changes are needed from there.

Custom parts

Custom parts are a time consuming and expensive process. Prototyping is required for custom parts to make sure that they fit properly and can handle any stresses. Once the prototyping is done we can move to final builds. Once in the final build stage revisions to the part will be more limited. Two revisions will be included for no addition cost however any further revisions will cost extra. Prices on custom parts especially will not be final until the part is completed.

Maximum size

The maximum size I can print as a single part right now is 256x256x256mm or a little over 10 cubic inches.

Material types

There are lots of different options for materials, most commonly ABS, PLA, PETG, and PA (nylon) I’m happy to use other materials as well but those mentioned are the ones I have the most experience with. If color is what you’re looking for All 4 of the previously mentioned materials can be found in an endless variety of colors, finishes, patterns, and more. I can also offer suggestions on things such as materials or design elements to help the prints come out much cleaner.
